Jeff Alperin provided an update on the Chapter website. The Chapter is currently paying for a full membership software package that includes payments and emailing features. The payment feature is not being used and less than a third of the members are using the website via login. It was suggested and approved that we discontinue paying for the membership software and continue with the free website features moving forward.
Tony Thackham gave an update on shirts with the Chapter logo. They will be polo style with a collar and a pocket. Colors TBD. They should be ready by the first week in December. Contact President Clive Taylor if you would like to order one.
Fred Sutton provided information on the annual Toy Run Party at the Zoo in Markham Park. See details below.
1. December 7, 8, 9 & 10 the Toy Run Party at the Zoo at Markham Park. This will be at Fred Sutton’s annual party with food, fun and music. The Chapter Christmas party event is Saturday 12/8 and we need more participation. This will be the 24th year of this event. No need to bring food. There will be special guests, movies and other fun happenings. A bike show will be on Saturday 12/8 2-3 pm. Dogs are welcome and security is onsite. It is a Great Time so come and join the fun!

The Board determined that the chapter did not pay enough in taxes to warrant moving to a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 as discussed in last year’s meeting.
Torch discussed the hats and the need for a less complex version of our logo. Samples were available. Samples of navy blue and yellow long sleeve shirts were also available with the standard logo which was of the pressed on rubber type. Sample shirts cost $35.00 due to small quantity. Screen printing of shirts is available but would require a less complex version of the club logo. A sample of the logo was passed around for viewing. The members need to determine whether we want to provide shirts only to members or for sale at events. Once this is agreed quantity can be determined thus setting the price per shirt. President Taylor would like the club to have a “face” which the hats, shirts and stickers would provide.
The board voted to sell attire at cost to members as a benefit. Hats sell for $11.00, shirts TBD. For pricing it was suggested to quote a quantity of 200 in L and XL sizes only. Torch will provide color options and pricing for the members to finalize via email. It was agreed to have shirts available for the Dania Beach show
Jeff Alperin volunteered and was appointed as the club Web Master! Many Thanks to Jeff!
The newsletter was sent out this month and looks fantastic! Thank you Torch! It was suggested to set a schedule for 4 newsletters per year. January will be the next edition. Also Torch needs contributing members so send in your articles and news worthy information to share in the newsletter! Mark@adimetal.com
A motion was made and approved to forfeit dues for members this year.
There was discussion whether the Everglades Chapter could accept a donation from the Dania Beach show should our funds run low given we are waiving member dues in favor of having more members. This topic needs more research.
Road Captain Gary McGoron suggested a ride on Saturday morning 12/9 to coincide with the Holiday Party festivities at Markham Park. Kudos to Gary for his great work on setting up the rides! It takes time and effort to scout out the best routes for our club and we all appreciate the Road Captain’s efforts!
President Taylor will be providing more information on other events i.e. Bike Nights, etc.1. November 17 & 18 Everglades Chapter Turkey Ride ride from Stuart to Ft Pierce and a museum visit
